Speed is the name of the game for this rookie forward who spent last season in Riviere-du-Loup Midget AAA.Chouinard has been a pleasant surprise on this year’s squad with his solid play both in the offensive and defensive zones. He has also shown a feistiness that has endeared him to team mates and fans as well. Chouinard lists the Halifax Mooseheads as the team he likes to face the most and he scored his first QMJHL goal against the Screaming Eagles biggest rival on Sept.16. Nicolas style of play is similar to his two favourite NHLer’s, Daniel Briere of Philadelphia and Martin St. Louis of Tampa Bay. He looks forward to a good game of paintball to relax away from the rink or if that’s not available lying on the beach in Cuba would have to do.
