Olivier Roy Named To Rookie All-Star Team
BOUCHERVILLE - The Commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Gilles Courteau, today announced the Rookie, First-Team and Second-Team All-Stars. The players were nominated by League coaches while a QMJHL committee voted the teams.
The All-Rookie Team includes goaltender Olivier Roy (Cape Breton), defensemen Samuel Groulx (Quebec) and Simon Despres (Saint John) as well as left-winger Nicolas Deschamps (Chicoutimi), center Tomas Knotek (Halifax) and right-winger Jacob Lagace (Chicoutimi).
The Second-Team All-Star squad is comprised of goaltender Marco Cousineau (Baie-Comeau), defensemen Kevin Marshall (Lewiston) and Ivan Vishnevskiy (Rouyn-Noranda) as well as left-winger Michael Dubuc (Rouy-Noranda), center Mathieu Perreault (Acadie-Bathurst) and right-winger Jakub Voracek (Halifax).
The First-Team All-Star Team counts goaltender Kevin Desfosses (Quebec), defensemen Marc-Andre Bourdon (Rouyn-Noranda) and Marc-Andre Dorion (Baie-Comeau) as well as left-winger Stefano Giliati (Lewiston), center Francis Pare (Chicoutimi) and right-winger Claude Giroux (Gatineau).
