Eagles Win In Shootout
The Screaming Eagles managed a split of their two-game road trip to St.John's with a 4-3 shootout win before 5023 fans at Mile Stadium on Saturday night
Dean Ouellet, Nick MacNeil and Francis Meilleur scored for the Screaming Eagles in regulation.
Luke Adam, T.J. Brennan and Matt Fillier replied for the Fog Devils.
In the shootout, Ouellet scored the only goal as Screaming Eagles netminder Olivier Roy stopped all three St.John’s shooters as they ended a two-game losing streak.
The win was also a big bounce back victory for the Screaming Eagles, who were beaten soundly on Friday night by a count of 6-0 by the Fog Devils.
The team will travel home on Sunday and then it’s back out on the road for their final road game of the season as they face the Wildcats in Moncton.
From there they will return home to begin a four-game season ending home stand starting with the Saint John Sea Dogs on Saturday March 8 at 7:00 pm at Centre 200.
