Screaming Eagles Announce First Round of Cuts

Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that five players have been cut from their training camp roster including 2 goaltenders and 3 forwards.

The goaltenders include free agent Cody Blanchard (1993-08-21) and Jacob Fancy (1995-08-25).  Fancy was a 2011 3rd round draft pick and played one game with the Screaming Eagles last season.

The forwards include free agents Michael Hache (1995-07-14) and Marc-Antoine Henri (1995-08-01) as well as veteran Felix Jarry (1994-04-28).  Jarry played 26 games with the Screaming Eagles last season.

The Screaming Eagles training camp roster now sits at 38 players.  The Screaming Eagles face the Halifax Mooseheads tonight at 7pm at the Canada Game Complex.

Im sure there are some NHL scouts waiting to see Gareth Nicholson get into the line up. I feel that once he gets a regular look in game play, he will quickly move up the depth chart

I say that Francis Mayer had a great training camp, he worked very hard in the net and he has alot of potential. So I was extremely disappointed when he was cut and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's going to be there lost.
